After 15 years helping to build the startup ecosystem in Spain, Europe and Latam, Wayra goest a step further and together with Telefónica Seguros launches Íope Ventures, an investment vehicle specialized in insurtech and fintech.

Our goal is to bring innovation into Telefónica Seguros’ value proposition, as part of the Group’s open innovation strategy.

HOW WE INVEST
We make direct investments in B2B startups with the potential to transform the insurance sector and help Telefónica Insurance in attracting innovation. We look for technological projects, with disruptive business models and solutions that drive the digitalization of the sector.
INVESTMENT THESIS
We provide tickets of up to €350.000 in capital though direct investment in startups in scaling stages. In addition to investment, our value proposition also involves direct contact of the startups with the Telefónica Insurance and Wayra team to assess potential business opportunities.
