Call for Applications
Presentation
Wayra and Aticco are opening a call for applications to attract participants to the next edition of Scale Up Women. This call is focused on projects that have at least one woman on the founding team. From all the applications received, Wayra and Aticco will select between 8 and 10 startups. The selected projects will be able to attend our Intensive Program on November 18th. A full day of mentoring sessions with the best experts in the ecosystem will culminate in a pitch to major investors. Among the participants, a winning project will be chosen through a vote by the invited investment funds.
What does our Intensive Program consist of?
The Intensive Program will be held in person on November 18th, from 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., in Barcelona. A full day in which we will offer the selected projects the opportunity to enjoy the following sessions:
- Roundtable discussion with women-led startups.
- Roundtable discussion with leading investors.
- 4 mentoring sessions on strategy, funding avenues, pitching & Storytelling and empowerment.
- Inspirational talk.
- Pitch in front of major investment funds.
The prize of the call for applications
Participating startups will gain visibility through the communication channels of the initiative's promoters, in addition to being able to enjoy their participation in the Intensive Program. At the end of the day, a winning project will be selected based on a vote by the invited investment funds.
The winning project will receive:
- 10 hours of mentoring available to use with any of the mentors in the Wayra network.
- 3 months of free membership in Aticco's coworking spaces in Madrid or Barcelona for up to 2 co-founders.
- Video/written interview that will be disseminated across all of the promoters' communication channels.
What projects can be submitted?
We are looking for technology startups with an innovative project and a full-time founding team, including at least one woman.
The startup must have a working product launched on the market, or at least an MVP, and have obtained initial metrics or revenue.
Projects at various stages of growth will be accepted, whether they have not yet received any investment (pre-seed) or have had a first round (growth).
The criteria for selecting the winning project will be, in order of importance:
1. Project viability and scalability
2. Innovation and technology
3. Sustainability and impact
4. Opportunity to attend the Intensive Program in person
