Wayra Barcelona, Telefónica's open innovation hub, together with Encomenda, Inveready, NautaCapital, KiboVentures, OneRagTime, AthosCapital, and VentureCap, is launching the second edition of Co-Investment Day Barcelona to invest up to €1 million in mature startups. To participate in Co-Investment Day, interested startups can submit their projects until May 24th through the following online form. Startups are sought that provide technological solutions that align with Telefónica's needs in areas such as IoT, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Video, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, 5G, and Edge Computing. The companies will have the opportunity to work directly with Telefónica and its customer network. The selected startups will be able to present their businesses to investors on May 30th at Soho House Barcelona (Sala La Mercè). In this second edition, in addition to selecting startups that apply, each fund will be able to propose a company in which it is interested, with the aim of fostering deal flow, co-investing, and technologically validating the companies through Telefónica. “The Co-Investment Day Barcelona is a great opportunity for startups to obtain investment from eight major investors in the entrepreneurial ecosystem and to scale their businesses globally through Telefónica,” explains Julián Vinué, director of Wayra Barcelona.
