Once again, Wayra was a Global Partner at South Summit, the leading innovation and technology event in Spain.
This year, we were joined by Irene Gómez Luque (Open Innovation Director at Telefónica), Guenia Gawendo (Director of Telefónica Ventures), Pablo Moro (Head of Investments at Telefónica Ventures), Kamil Sven (Global Head of People at Telefónica), and Richard Benjamins (Chief Responsible AI Officer at Telefónica), who explained how Telefónica integrates ethics into the use and development of Artificial Intelligence.
We had a presence in various settings during the event: Inês Oliveira (Global Head of Telefónica Open Future and Head of Partnerships at Wayra Spain) gave a keynote address on how we enable Corporate Innovation together with our Partners. Paloma Castellano participated in a panel on ESG and Climate Tech, and also took part in a roundtable discussion on the Startup Law alongside other experts from the ecosystem. And Marta Antúnez was with our portfolio startup Payflow, talking about SaaS and explaining what winning the Startup Competition in the previous edition meant for the company. But that's not all; we also held a Pitch Day with our partner Hotelbeds as part of their Travel Tech Lab innovation hub, broadcast a live program from our stand with Nación Innovación TV, and participated in organizing various side events to promote networking and the creation of synergies. There's no time to be bored at South Summit!
Plus, at our booth we were joined by the startups from our portfolio: Auravant, Bcas, Omniflow, Rever, Kymatio, Invopop, Devengo, Hiya, Time4Best, and Cashbank. And to top it all off, our startup Bcas won Best Education Startup at the Startup Competition.
We're already looking forward to the next edition of South Summit.
