Wayra brings together 200 investors in Madrid with a portfolio of more than 120 billion dollars

Telefónica Seguros and Wayra have announced the launch of Íope Ventures, a new investment vehicle designed to invest in 15 Insurtech startups & Fintech with tickets up to €200,000. Crossmint, Indya, Ezzing, YBVR, Kubbo, Champion Games, Rosita, Gimme Radio, and Qoala are the startups that presented their projects to investors in pitch format. Softbank, Notion Capital, Indico Partners, Northzone, Kfund, Draper B1, Adara, JME, Bstartup de Sabadell, Faraday Venture Partners, Kibo Ventures, and Seaya Ventures were some of the 50 funds participating in Wayra Investors Day with a portfolio under management of more than €120 billion. Wayra, Telefónica's open innovation initiative, held a new edition of its Investors Day this Thursday at the Official College of Architects of Madrid, where a A total of nine startups presented their projects to more than 200 investors from Spain, France, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and the United States. During the event, Wayra and Telefónica Seguros announced the creation of Íope Ventures, a new investment vehicle designed to invest in 15 Insurtech and Fintech startups over the next two years with investments of up to €200,000. Thanks to the Wayra Investors Day, Wayra startups have the opportunity to attract investment while connecting with some of the most powerful funds in Europe. Among the investors attending, funds such as Softbank, Notion Capital, Indico Partners, Kfund, Draper B1, Adara, JME, Bstartup de Sabadell, Faraday Venture Partners, Kibo Ventures and Seaya Ventures stand out.

Next, the second round table of the afternoon took place, with the participation of Marta Antúnez, director of Wayra Barcelona, ​​Javier Villamizar from Softbank, Itxaso from Palacio de Notion Capiatl, and Stephan Morais, co-founder of Indico Partners. A total of 9 startups linked to Wayra Spain presented their projects to investment funds in pitch format. Crossmint, Indya, Ezzing, YBVR, Kubbo, Champion Games, Qoala, Rosita, and Gimme Radio are the main Wayra startups that showcased their work. These sessions reflect Wayra's commitment to co-investing in mature, technology-based startups alongside other co-investors present at Wayra Investors Day.
