Wayra X invests in Nannyfy, the revolutionary virtual childcare startup
Nannyfyreinvented its business model with the arrival of Covid-19, going from being a website for finding nannies to a virtual platform for care, entertainment, and socialization for children between 3 and 12 years old.
The platform generates its own content thanks to certified nannies who can range from qualified teachers to artists or scientists.
However, this hasn't always been Nannyfy's business model. The startup was previously a website where parents could find a babysitter to come to their home. It all started when Claudia de la Riva, CEO and founder of the startup, couldn't find a trustworthy and experienced nanny for her daughter because there wasn't an online platform that met this need. However, with the arrival of Covid-19, she had to refocus her approach, digitize her processes, and become a pioneer in virtual childcare and learning. “We realized that the need on which our business model was based was still going to be there, but in a different form,” explains de la Riva. “We got it right and got a great response,” he adds.
