The fifth edition of Innomakers4health is seeking 100 new participants to develop a unique solution within 48 hours to address the challenge of using technology to manage cardiovascular disease. Registration is open from today until November 17th. The event will be held at the Telefónica Foundation's 42 Madrid campus on December 1st and 2nd, where the winners will also be announced.

During its Investors Day, held yesterday in Barcelona, ​​Wayra presented the projects of ten of the companies in which it has recently invested: Rever, Bdeo, Cafler, Bcas, Haddock, Shakers, Invopop, Devengo, Camillion, and Borneo. Telefónica's Global Director of Open Innovation, Irene Gómez, reviewed the closing of Leadwind, a fund in which Telefónica is an anchor investor, which raised $250 million.

Cafler is a platform that makes it easy for vehicle owners to manage everything from maintenance services to insurance with just one click. Wayra has joined the startup as a strategic partner, participating in an €8 million seed funding round.

Wayra will offer WA4STEAM members content to boost their careers as investors, provide them with access to investment, the opportunity to use physical space at the Wayra Madrid hub to develop their innovative projects, and access to networking events. This partnership seeks out early-stage startups led by women that are disruptive in their respective fields.

Íope Ventures is the investment vehicle launched by Wayra and Telefónica Seguros in 2022 to invest in B2B startups in the fintech and insurtech sectors. Bdeo is a startup that offers AI-based technology that simplifies processes, automates decisions, and strengthens the bond between insurers and their clients. Along with Íope Ventures, new investors such as Hollard, Armilar, and CDTI have joined in this funding round, which closed at €7.5 million and will help Bdeo achieve its international expansion goals.
