Wayra Spain, Telefónica's open innovation hub, in partnership with MySphera, is investing in IoT (Internet of Things) solutions to combat the coronavirus safely. Wayra's investment in the Valencian startup MySphera aims to provide security for both healthcare professionals and patients by digitizing hospital management through a platform that enables real-time patient location and identification.

With the aim of promoting female entrepreneurship, Wayra Barcelona is launching Wayra4Women, with an event that will take place on June 27 at Utopicus Glories in Barcelona and seeks to bring together female entrepreneurs with investors through a speed dating format.

Champion Games, a pioneering video game studio in the virtual sports world, is the creator of MetaSoccer, the world's first football metaverse based on blockchain technology. Through this investment, Wayra reinforces its commitment to startups building innovative solutions in the new era of Web3.

Wayra has participated in Optimus Price's €1 million funding round alongside Zone2Boost, Visa, Global Payments, and Worldline. The investment will be used to open new markets, integrate more e-commerce partners, and develop new artificial intelligence algorithms for price and demand optimization.

The Ministry of Justice has signed a contract to develop the Digital Immediacy Virtual Desktop with Telefónica and Councilbox, a Galician startup invested in by Wayra, Telefónica's open innovation hub.
